Gary Craig Hoffman

 

Gary received his Juris Doctor from University of West Los Angeles in 1977.  He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1978 and is licensed to practice before all state and federal courts in California. His undergraduate degree in Political Science is from the University of Southern California.

Gary has practiced in the Landlord/Tenant and Bankruptcy fields for over 20 years.  He has hosted seminars and written articles on residential and commercial eviction practice and post-foreclosure eviction.  He has tried thousands of unlawful detainer trials all over the state of California and currently does trial work for clients such as Federal National Mortgage Association, Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, Bankers Trust, Countrywide Home Loans, and most major lenders.

His practice is now devoted to the operation of Hoffman and Pomerantz LLP The Nation’s Leading Appearance Law Firm.  In addition to his roles as partner, operations manager and chief marketing officer for We Appear, Gary regularly participates in the Los Angeles County Temporary Judge program, sitting on the bench in Rio Hondo, Inglewood, San Pedro, Los Angeles, Compton, Huntington Park, and Alhambra Judicial Districts.

He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and other local bar associations.  He is also a member of The Other Bar, an organization of attorneys in recovery.  He is their Webmaster at http://www.otherbar.org/ and sits as a member of their Board of Directors executive committee. He is also a member of ILAA (International Lawyers in AA) and a member of ATLA (Association of Trial Lawyers of America).

In addition to spending time with his wife, Wendy and their two beloved boxer dogs (Rose and Blue), Gary sings and plays guitar with his band, “The Revisions” who get their musical inspiration from The Beatles, Rolling Stones and The Grateful Dead.  He’s also a bicycle enthusiast, a big Dodger fan and a volunteer and member of the board of directors of Boxer Rescue LA.
