Andrew received his undergraduate degree from the University of California Los Angeles in Geography and Environmental Science with a minor in Meteorology in 1984. He received his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles in 1988.

He is admitted to practice before all of the State Courts in California, Colorado, Minnesota and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit, and the Central, Southern, Northern and Eastern Federal District Courts of California.

He is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker and a licensed general building contractor.

Prior to founding Hoffman and Pomerantz, LLP, the Nation’s Leading Appearance Law firm,Andrew was a litigator for both the Plaintiff and Defense bars, with areas of practice including civil litigation, real estate, unlawful detainer, commercial, collection and bankruptcy. 

Andrew has extensive courtroom and trial experience, serves as a Judge Pro Tem, and speaks before groups on matters regarding litigation and trial practice.

He is a FAA licensed Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor, as well as an avid open water swimmer and triathlete.  Some swimming events include swimming to Alcatraz Island, but some day he would like to swim the English Channel.  He worked as a disc jockey in College and he also enjoys reading, music, and good food. 

Andrew is married to Kim, who is also an attorney, whom he met in law school. They have an eight-year-old son, Spencer, and a five-year-old daughter, Jordan.  

Andrew is a fan of music. He loves all sorts of music ranging from classical to country.
