OS:  Our website runs on one of the oldest, most secure platforms on the internet – Red Hat Linux (Enterprise version). In addition, our website has a Netcraft Risk Rating of zero, attesting to the security and stability of the Unix Operating System and to its security-minded design.

SERVERS: All servers are hosted by RackSpace, a reputable, reliable hosting company with the expertise and experience to keep it up and running 24/7/365.

SECURITY: Our website is protected by 2048-bit SSL encryption. All traffic traveling to and from our website is encrypted and secure.

DATA STORAGE AND BACKUP: All data is stored in multiple places and in multiple formats to provide redundancy and security. Data is stored with our hosting provider (MySQL running under Red Hat Linux) and in our corporate offices (FileMaker Server running under Microsoft Windows 2003).

NETWORK: In addition to the robust security provided by Linux on our hosted servers, HNP’s offices are protected by Dell’s Sonic Wall technology, providing Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), Denial of Service (DoS) protection, Intrusion Protection, and protection from Malware and Trojan Horses.

ELECTRONIC BACKUP OF INFORMATION: Backups occur nightly within our office and are replicated on Amazon’s S3 Cloud Storage architecture.
